Why read this post?

Life is confusing and full of distractions.

Even worse, sometimes it seems like the end of humanity as we know it is closer than we ever imagined.

It is overwhelming and makes many feel like opting out rather than going all in.

Luckily, I am an “all-in” kind of person and I believe WE can change our trajectory by collaborating.

I believe we can unite our species by looking inwards at ourselves.

In Read My Mind, I expose my thoughts for others to challenge me and themselves.

Below, I explain the structure of Read My Mind as an orientation or onboarding.

Then you can find your first article in the Contents of My Mind (aka Table of Contents).

I am simply a normal person who believes in the power of people and is honest about how difficult life often is.

None of us know everything, but if we dive deeper, perhaps we will see beyond the facts.

So give yourself a few minutes to dream big and read my mind because WE CAN change the future TOGETHER!

And now to the conversation...

What is Read My Mind?

Read My Mind is a self-improvement blog designed to help humans become better humans.

Each post explores a topic with confusing, overwhelming layers in search of wisdom.

For example, Why We All Suck? Understanding and Escaping The Trap We're In

Or Why We're All Idiots? Overcoming the Ignorance of Our Facts.

These topics are meant to help you think better for yourself.

Those are odd topics, what are you going to be posting about?

Posts will fall into one of five groups:

  1. ME || About Me = Understand Who I Am
  2. FEEL || Inspirational = Inspire you to act
  3. DO || Informational = Help you act effectively
  4. LEARN || Educational = Teach you about actions
  5. CONNECT || Entertaining = Help you act with others

I created the groups based on four concepts:

  1. 4-Burner Theory – All time is spent on Health, Family, Friends, or Work.
  2. Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs – Self-actualization requires 5 layers of needs
  3. Neurabites: 4 Elements & 10 Areas of Life – Life has 10 areas in 4 groups that shift over time
  4. Link-worthy content – Why do people appreciate a piece of content

It ends up looking something like the below

What (W) Why (Y)
TAG || Link-worthy Content
Description
4 Burners Theory || Maslow's Hierarchy
Neurabites: 4 elements / 10 Areas
FEEL || Inspirational
Inspire you to act
Family || Love
People & Relationship: Partner, Family, and Friends
DO || Informational
Help you act effectively
Work || Safety
Value Creation: Career and Contribution
LEARN || Educational
Teach you about actions
Health || Physiological
Sustainability: Physical, Mental, and Financial Health
CONNECT || Entertaining
Help you act with others
Friends || Esteem
Experience: Intellectual and Adventure

Woah, you thought about this...

Yeah, each post also should cover what, why, and how enough to satisfy us all.

To me, each question is crucial because they are layers of thinking...

What (W) Why (Y) How (H)
Facts Truth Wisdom
Hearing Listening Understanding
Eye-level Sky-level Ground-level
Medium-term Long-term Short-term
Detail Summary Nuance
Sentence Words Paragraph
Think about Practicality Think about ROI Think about Nuance
Enough Detail to Understand Focused Explanation Enough Detail to Act Effectively

Why should I care about what you're thinking?

I have used my natural versatility, curiosity, and competitiveness to succeed in different environments.

Over time, I will share the experiences, skills, and tools that have helped me do this.

To me, I don't need to be an expert in your life to help you, help yourself.

I simply need to give you the knowledge, tools, and resources.

It is easier said than done, but I am committed for life based on my Why am I...?

To build trust, I include Credits and Sources and an Update Log in each post.

For deeper transparency, I even provided a list of some of my influences.

Feedback from the Community will be crucial so if you have questions, please submit some!

I don't like reading blogs...

Luckily, you aren't the only one.

Audio and Video versions are being recorded for accessibility and options.

More importantly, you aren't just reading, listening, or watching.

You are acting!

What do you mean?

Each post has an Apply It area to help use what you have learned.

Many have worksheets to write your own thoughts so you don't start from scratch.

Some activities can take a while, but it is all self-paced so you go as fast as you'd like.

How long and how often are these posts?

Each post should be 5-10 minutes of reading.

Video and audio may record up to 20 minutes, but you can increase playback speed.

For now, I am committing to one post per month with the goal to increase over time.

Alright, I suppose I will check out more. Now what?
